One-Day Arabic Teacher Training Workshop

The author of the ‘Gateway to Arabic’ series, Dr. Imran Hamza Alawiye, will be conducting a one-day training workshop on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., in sha’ Allah.


The session is aimed at Arabic teachers. It would have particular

relevance for those teaching pupils of primary school age and anyone using the ‘Gateway to Arabic’ series as a teaching resource.

During the session, teachers will be trained in interactive teaching

methods including classroom games and activities. Participants will learn how to motivate and energise their students to increase their

engagement with the language learning experience, with particular focus on vocabulary development and conversational practice.


The participants will gain valuable insights into effective lesson

planning, including sample schemes of work, as well as the art of

classroom management. The workshop will also provide an excellent opportunity for sharing good teaching practice and networking with other Arabic teachers.


Venue:       The Windsor Muslim Association, Manor Youth Centre, Hanover Way, Windsor SL4 5NW) (Free Parking is available at the centre)


Cost:           Early bird £35 per attendee (includes lunch) or £40 for registration after 21st May, 2016
