Come and learn modern standard Arabic at the Greenford Community Centre (170 Oldfield Lane South, Greenford, Middlesex UB6 9JS). Three courses are available.

Beginners Plus Level for students with some prior knowledge of Arabic: this course teaches students how to converse in basic everyday situations in Arabic and also introduces them to the written form of the language, enabling them to read Arabic texts with correct pronunciation. The course also introduces students to the grammar structure governing non-verbal Arabic sentences.

The Intermediate Level class, which is for students who can read and write the script with a degree of fluency and have a limited knowledge of basic Arabic words and phrases: this course focuses on the use of spoken modern standard Arabic in a number of useful contexts, including greetings, the home environment, travel situations, and talking about oneself. It covers key aspects of essential grammar including verbal and non-verbal sentences.

The GCSE Level class, which prepares students to take any GCSE Arabic exam.

An experienced Arabic teacher who is the author of the popular ‘Gateway To Arabic’ series will deliver the course, and there will be plenty of scope for one-to-one attention, as class sizes will be kept small.

In addition, private one-to-one tuition is available at all levels on request.
