This highly detailed bilingual dictionary is subtitled as a ‘General and scientific dictionary of language and terms’ and, in addition to mainstream vocabulary, also contains terms relating to medicine, mathematics, physics, chemistry, information technology and engineering. In addition to a 16-page appendix containing full-colour labeled diagrams of various aspects of human biology and geography, it has a detailed glossary of English medical terms together with their Arabic equivalent as well as an explanation in Arabic. For the benefit of Arab users, the dictionary also contains a list of irregular English verbs together with their past tense and past participle. The arrangement of the Arabic to English section is done alphabetically rather than by root letter origin.
